20205 Mainline Test Train and First Official Run at Midland Railway

The mainline test train for 20205 had to be rescheduled and is now planned for Saturday 7th February, the loco will be paired with 20189 and will run from the Midland Railway Butterley, mainline at Codnor Junction to Chadd Sidings Derby, then hauling a train to Peak Forest before both engines return running light. Departure from Butterley should be around 8.00am.

Subject to the there being no issues on the mainline test train, 20205 will be operating the passenger train services throughout the day on Sunday 8th February at the Midland Railway Trust, its first official public passenger trains in preservation. Saw 20205 at Bristol Temple Meads today. I'm no train spotter, but I know vintage quality when I see it! Impressive.
