A Happy Christmas and Best wishes to all our members and followers for 2016, well we've had a quite a year, my highlight was the 'Mini Chopper Fest' at the start of the year which saw 20205 return to operation after twenty years, it was great to see packed trains at the Midland Railway despite it being February and minimal publicity for the event.
Finally the work on 8001 is nearing completion after a number of false starts, the power unit with repaired generator should be re-fitted in the next couple of months, allowing a return to preserved line running. Ongoing hire agreements have seen 20227 working again on London Transport heritage events and both 227 and 205 on mainline work at Dagenham, whilst this means we've not been able to do much preserved line running it has helped to fund repairs, spares and maintenance of our fleet.
We are all looking forward to an eventful 2016, which should see more opportunities for our engines on enthusiast trains and hopefully a few surprises. Thanks for your help and support throughout the past year, have a great New Year.
